George Mikros
Professor George Mikros holds the position of Professor of Computational and Quantitative Linguistics at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) and will be the senior scientific advisor to Qognity. Within HBKU, he is currently the coordinator for the Master of Arts Program in Digital Humanities and Societies. His prior academic appointments include a Professorship in Computational and Quantitative Linguistics at the University of Athens, Greece, during which time he founded and directed the Computational Stylistics lab. Furthermore, Professor Mikros serves as an Adjunct Professor within the Department of Applied Linguistics at the University of Massachusetts, Boston, USA. His primary research interests lie in Large Language Models, Computational Stylistics, Natural Language Processing, as well as the applications of Artificial Intelligence in Legal Language and Forensic Linguistics.
